here it is!

Dude, i really busted my butt machine to get this top done before the end of January.  Don't know why really, but I think I wanted to call it my January Weekend quilt.. I was probably motivated by the start of a new semester.  But anyway, here it is, all set except for borders.  I have some ideas, but no time to sit down and get them sewn on yet.  here's hoping it can be basted by the end of February, ok?
The blocks are foundation pieced onto regular printer paper (i used a draft of an economics paper 'cause, yeah, we have those lying around the house sometimes..).  I learned a bit through the process, it was not as easy or as fast as I thought it would be, but I did manage to piece the top to this point in about 10 days (sewing during naps and sometimes after he went to bed).  I used a glue stick and lots of pins, and the end result is just what I was hoping for.
definitely warmer, right?
