That was pretty cool and it was great to see all the fabrics and who they were from. In 1994 I just started quilting and didn't know anything about 1/4" seams! My first piece was made with 5/8" seams, as you do in dressmaking, and as a result wasn't very accurate!! I think you did a brilliant job for a first attempt and at 14!! Wow.As for quilting it, if you were doing hand quilting then baptist fans would be nice, but as you mentioned a first attempt of machine quilting, I'd be tempted to sew a 1/4" from all the seams in a grid like fashion. Not only will it be easy to achieve (use a walking foot BTW) but it will stabilize the entire quilt and secure any less than perfect seams. Can't wait to see it done.
